Christ Independent Baptist Church is located in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. The church was started in 1980 by two pastors that were both inner-city men that had been saved by the grace of God. Our church celebrated our 30 year anniversary with special meetings Oct 10, 11, and 12, 2010. Our preacher for those services was Dr. Tom Wallace of Murfreesboro, TN. What a blessing the services were. Oh what a God we serve!
We are an independent Baptist Church. We stand for the old paths as found in the Word of our wonderful God. We recognize that all human culture is sinful (vain conversation – I Peter 1:18) and we as a church seek to uphold a Scriptural culture! We pray that, with the help of God, we will be a witness to BOTH our “Jerusalem” (Frankford and Philadelphia), in “Judaea” (Pennsylvaia and areas around), in “Samaria” (That place others refuse to go - see John 4:9), and unto the uttermost part of the earth!
